Who are Time to Unwind workshops for?

The experience of recovering from our own injuries and helping clients with pain and stiffness taught us how powerful the right combination of partner-assisted stretches, strengthening exercises, and solo mobility drills are in rapidly improving mobility and strength while resolving pain.

Our workshops are recommended for:

  • Artists, creatives, and tradespeople who suffer from repetitive use injuries
  • Office and remote workers who spend long hours working at a desk and have developed still shoulders, hips and back
  • Rock climbers and grapplers who have developed a rounded upper body posture
  • Athletes who need to improve their strength, speed, and injury resistance
  • Anyone wanting to restore range of motion after recovering from an injury

We've been fortunate to learn from a wide variety of movement specialists from disciplines such as acrobatics, martial arts, massage therapy, Olympic weightlifting, yoga, dance, and gymnastics and we combine these lessons with our own experimentation and modification to adapt the stretches to both athletes and the general public.

How are the workshops structured?

Each workshop will go in-depth on two to three movement patterns (e.g. shoulder extension, hip rotation, thoracic spine mobility, etc), exploring several methods of targeting mobility and strength restrictions.

We begin with a thorough warm up, which progresses into strengthening exercises, solo stretching, and partner assisted movements.

Our goal is for you to gain an understanding of how to incorporate these movements into your lifestyle so that you can continue to improve your mobility and overall wellness.

What will you gain from attending a workshop?

  • How to develop a mobility routine based on your specific needs
  • How to safely and effectively work with a stretching partner
  • How to use simple tools such as towels and blocks to achieve deeper and more comfortable stretches
  • How to use the "push-pull" technique to build strength and flexibility at the same time
  • Tips on combining mobility work with strength and endurance training
  • And more!
