Private Fitness Training for Strength, Mobility, and Health
What sets my training style apart?
My specialty is helping people break through plateaus in strength, muscle building, and fat loss by identifying the weak links that are holding them back. Through this process, we often also resolve chronic back, knee, and shoulder pain, among other issues.
Far too many people follow generic training programs expecting great results. If the program doesn't address your limiting factors, you will waste a lot of time and energy while seeing little to no results. Once you improve your weaknesses you will be amazed at how fast you can make progress!
I'm fortunate to have learned from a wide range of experts in specialties such as sports strength & conditioning, bodybuilding, martial arts, acrobatics, gymnastics, olympic weightlifting, stretch therapy, and massage therapy, and my methods draw from these experiences.
Starting a new training program
First we begin with a full-body assessment. This allows us to identify your weak links and to establish some baseline performance and body composition numbers.
Next, we'll develop a training program that will build a solid foundation of mobility, balanced strength, and stamina. This can include free weight exercises, calisthenics, plyometrics, partner exercises, sled training, running, and more. The methods chosen are dictated by your needs and the availability of equipment and space.
In order to keep your progress from stagnating, the programs are updated regularly to adapt to your continuously evolving needs.
How soon will you see results?
As your overall conditioning improves, you will see measurable changes in your body composition. When consistent exercise is combined with good dietary habits, it's not uncommon to lose two percentage points of body fat or more in the first month, while gaining about a pound of muscle mass. Those who can dedicate more time to training and maintaining an impeccable diet can greatly exceed those numbers.
Gains in strength can be measured on a week-to-week basis, and improvements in flexibility can occur in a single session.

I've been training with Javier for a little over a year now and he is BY FAR the best trainer I have ever had. My body has positively changed in so many ways since starting to train with him - less body fat and increased strength, muscle mass, and flexibility.
The workouts he designs are dynamic and he is incredibly helpful with advice and techniques to help meet my fitness goals. He never misses a teaching moment to adjust my form and make sure I'm maximizing effectiveness.
Overall, he's a great guy and a great trainer.

After training with Javier for almost 5 years, I highly recommend him to anyone who is motivated to get in better shape. Whether it's strength and flexibility training for a specific sport, gaining muscle mass and/or losing fat, or simply improving overall health, Javier has an extraordinarily deep base of knowledge and an exceptional personal training process that will bring forward results.
Training sessions with Javier are not cookie-cutter workouts of the day. Instead, he considers your goals, identifies any weak links that are holding you back, and builds custom programs that consistently move you forward. He also can answer your questions about nutrition and lifestyle, and has actually read the necessary research to back up the answers!
Personally, Javier has helped me:
- Build the muscle mass that I wanted while keeping body fat percentage (which he can test and track over time) in the single digits.
- Massively increase the weight on fundamental lifts (for example, my squats used to be a wobbly 135 and now are easily over 300)
- Increase mobility (especially in the hips, back, and shoulders)
- Make nutritional and lifestyle changes that improve my workouts and also make me feel better outside the gym
Under Javier's guidance, I have physically improved beyond what I thought was even possible for myself only a few years ago. If you are motivated enough to follow his advice and willing to put in the work, he is ready to help you achieve your goals.

I have been training with Javier twice a week for the last two months and I can see the changes on my body—I’m getting really toned and defined! This is all due to Javier’s training and his methods.
What I like about him is that he’s really into explaining the technique of each exercise and what it does for me. He always corrects my form – for every lift or exercise; he’s always there to make sure it’s done correctly---whether it’s body position or the way the lift is supposed to be done. He is very knowledgeable and strong in educating me to do it the right way.
I really believe in his way of training from A to Z. And he is such a wonderful person to work with. If you’re looking for a trainer that can really help you achieve your goal in toning your body, losing weight, and overall health, Javier is the person for you.
I enthusiastically recommend him!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have a home gym?
A home gym can be anything from a small room with some open floor space to garage decked out with commercial-style equipment. As long as you have a space where you can move your body safely in all ranges of motion, we can make it work. Of course workouts can also take place outside, weather permitting.
What equipment do I need?
While you can get a great workout without any training equipment at all, it does allow for more training variety. I do bring equipment to training sessions, but it's best if you also have some equipment of your own so that you can perform the workouts independently.
Some of the most worthwhile and versatile equipment you can invest in:.
- Adjustable dumbbells
- Pullup station of some kind
- Dragging sled
- Adjustable bench
- Step/Box
- Gymnastic Rings
- Ab Wheel
- Barbell and plates
- Power rack/cage
- Stall bars (aka ladder bars)
Most of these items take up minimal space and can be used for hundreds of different exercises. If you have a dedicated gym space in a basement or garage, adding a power rack and barbell setup adds a lot of options.
