What does “recomp” mean?
"Recomp" refers to Body Recomposition, the process of building muscle mass and reducing body fat over a certain time period, with minimal net change to one's body weight.
If you want more muscle definition without necessarily gaining body weight, then body recomposition is what you’re after.
Of course there are benefits beyond aesthetics (i.e. increased energy and strength, improved health and mood) but there’s nothing wrong with being motivated to improve your physique!
The process of body recomposition is accomplished through the combination of strength training sessions that build muscle mass, a flexible nutrition plan that optimizes your ability to burn fat, and lifestyle changes that make maintaining the results easy.
